What Ezekiel's Dry Bones Can Teach Us About Resurrection
Let me be real for a second.
There have been seasons in my life where hope felt as dry as a Florida sidewalk in July. Cracked. Barren. Uninspired.
Maybe you’ve felt that too?
This week in our Lent study, we’re stepping into the wildest part of Ezekiel’s ministry: a field full of dry bones. And I mean DRY-dry. There’s no life. No muscle. No hope. Just a valley of reminders that whatever this once was—it’s over.
But not to God.
Where we see dry bones, He sees potential.
Where we see a graveyard, He sees a garden.
Where we feel forgotten, He’s already planning revival.
Ezekiel didn’t know what to expect—but he trusted God enough to speak His Word over something lifeless.
And guess what? Life returned.
Look, God is still breathing life onto dry bones. That dream you buried? That joy you forgot how to feel? That relationship, calling, or creative spark that’s been gathering dust?
He can bring it back.
This week, I invite you to pause in your own valley and ask, “Lord, can these bones live?”
Then listen. Obey. Speak His Word. And trust that His Spirit still revives.
Because our hope isn’t hollow.
It’s holy.
And it’s anchored in resurrection.
